A LITTLE ABOUT ME
"A Late Bloomer"!
I have always been "arty" and went to art college for a time as a teenager, but it wasn't till a few years ago, that I really threw myself into it....you could say I'm a late bloomer!
I have found myself smitten with the creative process, obsessed about learning and passionate about all things art!
I have learned that talent is one thing, but practice is key...and I strongly believe art should be open to everyone even if they think they "can't even draw a stick-man"! It's all about the process, which is so therapeutic!
My art studio ("Wee Art Shop") is in the small Ayrshire village of Kilmaurs, on the west coast of Scotland. I use this space as my working studio and also as a small shop where I sell my prints and other printed merchandise. When I'm not in there I am usually with my family or out and about ... being inspired by our wonderful surroundings! I like nothing better than taking my sketchpad and a small watercolour set down to the coast, or packing my easel and my pochade box with oil painting paraphenalia to paint a landscape.
Heaven!
